BACKGROUND

  • Reality TV show is a global phenomenon.
  • There has been very successful reality shows in Nigeria and other parts of the world.

  • It has indeed become a viable and enterprising medium for brand building and advertising.
  • Right now there is no existing reality sport show that is aimed at discovering young football talents on global level.
THE 1ST ELEVEN
• The 1st Eleven Project is a football reality television that will discover and project young, raw, talented and aspiring footballers thereby leveraging the reality show as a tool for brand propagation in Nigeria and the world at large.

PROJECT MODALITIES

  • The 1st Eleven Football Reality show will be introduced to the target participants and the general public through widespread media awareness.
  • Registration forms will be sold to prospective participants at the rate of Three Thousand Naira Only (NGN 3000) through a designated bank.
  • Screening will be conducted in each of the six (6) geo-political regions in the country.
  • The regional screenings will run simultaneously in each zone and viewer participation will be elicited through adequate publicity.
  • Six (6) players will emerge from each zone and a total of thirty-six (36) participants will make it to the reality television camp.
  • Screening dates, venue and registration will be announced via media.
  • The duration for the regional screenings will be ten (10) days. Accreditation, medicals and orientations are billed within this period.
  • The reality television camping is billed for eight (8) weeks and the evaluators will comprise of Analyst and a Sports Psychologist, professional football coaches/managers, Physical trainers, Physiotherapist, Ex-Professional FootballerS.
  • Assessment criteria will include but not limited to the participant’s physical and medical fitness, psychological and mental fitness, discipline, skills and fitness, team play and role play, professionalism, social and interactive responsibilities.
  • The reality television camp will adopt optimum football training techniques and professionalism fused with entertainment that will elicit the excitement of the viewers to achieve the goals of this project.
  • The contents of the reality television package will be viewer interactive; providing a platform for viewers to partake, contribute and vote through SMS.
  • Each week, at least three (3) ex/current football superstars will visit and train with the 1st eleven participants.
  • Aside from undertaking the development and establishment of the football careers of the winners of The 1st Eleven Football Reality Television, the first eleven will be rewarded with a cash prize of One Million Naira (NGN1,000,000) each.
  • Equally participating viewers will have an opportunity to win various branded gifts items through a variety of simple interactive quiz that will be designed for this event.
  • This reality show will essentially be based on audience participation at all levels.
