Ex-international, Obiku, Heads Reality TV Show.
One of Nigeria's ex internationals and Holland-based football coach, Mike Obiku has been tipped to head the technical crew of the first Nigerian Soccer TV Reality show, tagged the 1st Eleven.
The soccer TV reality show is aimed at showcasing the best of football talents as aspiring and young footballers will be projected.
According to Mr. Moses Nwanze, general manager of Hurricane Events Ltd, the organisers of the show, the 1st Eleven players that will emerge from the competition will receive a cash prize of one million Naira in addition to an international football exposure.
Nwanze said that Nigeria is blessed with abundant football talents most of whom presently ply their trades in foreign lands and earning huge income.
He said that the reality tv campaign is billed for eight weeks stressing that the best sports psychologists and analysts including professional football coaches and managers will also be involved to assess the lads.
Commenting on the modalities for participation at the reality show, Nwanze said that football talents will be screened from six zones out of which will emerge to join others from other zones to make up a total of 36 lads that will participate at the reality television camp.
On the suitability of football talents to participate at the camp, the events management chief said that the assessment criteria will include physical, psychological and mental fitness.
He said that the television camp will adopt an optimum football training techniques and professionalism embellished with entertainment that will elicit the excitement of viewers to achieve the goals of the project.
Nwanze said that the TV reality show will surely provide a veritable platform for brand visibility and positioning for sponsors of the show who may wish to avail themselves of the opportunities presented by the event, the first of its kind.
